Dr. Flora Guidry, a former St. Landry Parish School District middle school teacher, will be at The Black Pot Bookshop, 104 East Landry Street in Opelousas, on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 11:00 AM for a book signing.
Dr. Guidry will introduce her book Bacon: The Adventures of a Little Cajun Pig, who follows his dreams. Like Bacon, Dr. Guidry now explores the world of her childhood dreams. She has plans to share her experiences with children around the world.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of her book will go to Creswell Middle, MACA, and Arnaudville Middle School to be used for band, chorus, and after-school art.
